Poker Hand Rankings

 This is the order of hands in poker from strongest to weakest:

Royal

Flush

  A straight from ten to ace with all five cards of the same suit. All royal flushes are ranked equally.

Straight

Flush

   A straight with all five cards of the same suit. Out of two straight flushes the one which ends with the higher card wins.

Four of

a Kind     

   Four cards of the same rank. If two players share the same four of a kind, the hand with the bigger fifth card (kicker) wins.

Full

House

   Three cards of the same rank plus two cards of the same rank. Out of two full houses the winner is where the three of the same rank is higher.
Flush    Five cards of the same suit (but not consecutive). Out of two flushes the one with the highest rank wins. If that is the same, the higher second highest card is the winner, if that is still the same, the third, fourth and fifth highest card's rank decides.
Straight    Five consecutive cards (of different suits). An ace can be counted as the highest (after the king) or the lowest (before the deuce) card.

Three of

a Kind

   Three cards of the same rank. If two players share the same three of a kind, the highest fourth card wins, if that is still the same, the highest fifth card.

Two

Pair

   Two cards of the same rank together with another two cards of the same rank. If two players have two pair, the one with the highest high pair wins. If two players share the same two pair, the one with the higher fifth card wins.

One

Pair

   Two cards of the same rank. If two or more players share the same pair, the highest third card (kicker) wins. If that is still the same, the highest fourth then the highest fifth card wins.

High

Card

   Any hand not in the above-mentioned hands.The highest card wins, if more than one player have the same highest card, the second highest wins, if that is still the same, the third, fourth, fifth highest card wins.
