Vegas Trip - Night Four - Up $233

First; what happened to night 3 ? It was a short night - about 2 hours. I lost $25 calling blinds and missing flops. My fourth night was short too - about 4 hours. We tried the Mandalay Bay. This is a great poker room. Lots of choices, lots of full tables. Plus they allow a $300 buy-in. I always buy the maximum. I made the bulk of my $233 profit from a which I played from the button. I Iimped in after 4 limpers plus the blinds. The blinds both flat called/checked. The flop came giving me an outside straight draw, a flush draw and straight flush draw. A middle position raise of $25 did not scare me off - I called - but it did eliminate the rest of the field. The turn card came giving me a straight and the nuts. The raiser - who had been drinking whiskey all night - overbet the pot for $80. I flat called. The river was which opened the possibility that his 2 pair or set had just beat my straight. He bet out $100. I used my shock-trick; I slowly loaded $200 in front of the line while keeping my eyes on the chips. I moved my arm a little as though I was about to push and quickly glanced up to meet his eyes. I saw fear. I pushed in the whole $200 and he folded. I suspect he had a busted flush draw but will never know. I took down over $500.

About 2 hours later I had the button again. I tried a button raise of $15 against 3 limpers and scared out the blinds and 2 limpers - leaving me in the pot with the same guy from whom I took the monster pot. I had only but felt my reputation was a little too tight. The flop came . This is exactly the kind of flop I want to use to continue my bluff. When the man checked to me I made it $25 and he folded. I usually bluff once or twice in an 8 hr session and no more. This was a great opportunity for it because I had the position and the fear factor. All in all - a great night !
